This is Pilates for those of you who like to sweat. Pilates has a big focus on technique but it needn’t be soft and gentle, any exercise system can be made more intense. We use interval timing and short active “rests” to keep you working harder for longer. The class is split between 30 minutes of standing functional exercises and 30 minutes of matwork. So half weighted exercises like squats, lunges and shoulder work. Then half body weight exercises targeting your whole trunk, spine, abs and core. Our teachers will offer alternatives to make your experience easier or harder, while making sure your technique is spot on.

  • Develop more stamina and muscle endurance and tone up without compromising your spine and joints.

  • Strengthens your whole trunk from your spinal muscles, deep abdominal and to your superficial abdominals…6-packs!

  • Strengthen your legs and shoulders right down to the deep stabilising muscles that help you balance and protect against injury

  • Ingrain good technique into your muscle memory so that all your workouts and physical pursuits get better

WHO IS THE CLASS best FOR?

Mixed ability but, challenging. Beginner introduction required!

Perfect if you want to raise your heart rate, get a sweat on and feel challenged.

Not suitable if you have acute back or knee problems, or if you’re pregnant. But, a great next step in your recovery to build strength and regain functional movement.

A perfect pairing if you have a labour intensive job or play/train for sports. It’s very functional exercise targeting key muscle groups and focuses on good movement patterns.

HOW TO JOIN AN NP HIIT Pilates clASS?

Attend an Introduction Workshop or Beginner Friendly classes first

   Unless you have done a lot of Pilates before you will need a introduction of some kind. Pilates and even different Pilates brands have unique exercise terminology and there are important exercise principles you should know. Also, we want you to get the most out of our classes and help you exercise more effectively.

After, your Introduction you can decide on your location and payment options
