We are loving our online classes. Our clients are too!

The Pandemic has brought all manner of uncertainty and sadness but, for us in our small office, our online classes have provided a surprising amount of relief. So many of our amazing clients stuck with us to try out this new online format and some incredible Beanies even continued to pay for classes they would no longer be attending.

But moving classes online has done more than just give our small business some stability.

We actually really enjoy teaching them and although we can’t reach out and correct dodgy posture, through Zoom we’ve been able to interact with clients surprisingly well. Those common exercise mistakes people make or strange movement patterns some of our regulars have, we can still spot them and get them back on track.

We also still get to socialise with people we’ve taught for months and years. And, it’s lovely to see that clients can catch up with class-friends too.

Online health professional. Zoom Pilates. teach from home.

Maintaining a regular teaching and fitness routine is really helpful when days start to blend together.

It gets us up and moving and staying mentally sharp and we can see the positive effect on clients. Aside from some tighter than normal hamstrings (all that extra sitting around) everyone is still performing well in class. We’ve not gone any easier on them, there are challenges every session still but everyone is keeping up. It’s also been helpful for the sudden rush to do gardening or DIY that so many of you have suddenly found time for!

This lockdown has not beaten these Pilates bodies! We can keep Covid at bay while still keeping backache at bay too. Join us..from online beginner classes, foundation courses, health webinars, we have been really busy these past few months.

Here are some of the wonderful responses we’d had from our clients since moving online:

Hi Karen,

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the online session with Dan this morning. I really had the feeling that my own personal trainer was there in the room encouraging and instructing me. And hearing the comments from other participants gave a nice community feel to the event. Thanks so much for devising such an excellent solution to the social-distancing dilemma.

Regards

M

Hi Karen

Just to say I really enjoyed the 6pm class with Caroline yesterday. Everything seemed to work really well and having spent the week working from a very unsuitable dining room table and chair it was fantastic to be stretched and hopefully rebalanced a bit (note to self: vacuum floor before next session as having a coughing fit half way through class is a really quick way to worry your instructor!)

Thanks once again for arranging everything

F

Thanks Dan that was very good, lovely to see everyone and feel a little bit normal :)

The two things that I took from that overall were:

1) I still can’t get away with shortcuts in class

2) I’m not ever lying on my floor again without hoovering first

A big thank you to you Karen and Team.

I was a bit dubious about virtual Pilates but have really enjoyed it.  Thank you for helping to keep my poor old joints ‘supple’ during these strange times.

Love and hugs
