We run a handful of gentler classes as we want to accommodate all levels and everyone can exercise. Our Gentle “ish” classes follow the same format as our Core mat classes but with less big challenges each lesson and with a steady pace, giving you time to recover if need be. It might be that you’re recovering from a bout of pain or an injury and need to gradually build up your strength. Some people might simply need a break in a more gentle graceful exercise class. Whatever your need these classes will help you open up stiff joints, gradually challenge muscle and get you think about your alignment and moving precisely.

  • Start to correct poor posture habits and learn better healthier movement patterns

  • Improve your core strength and stamina, ready to support your body all day everyday.

  • Learn how to coordinate your breathing with your core engagement so you can push yourself harder, in class and in life.

  • Connect mind and body as you learn to control and isolate movement and catch the bad movement habits you might have developed

  • Each exercise can be modified up or down, depending on ability and your desire for a challenge

 

Who is the class good for?

Mixed ability and remedial level

It’s a very safe exercise environment if you are recovering from injuries or pain.

It’s perfect if you want a steady all-over workout to maintain good physically health.

This class will only challenge you for so long. If you want to continue to get stronger, more flexible and active you will need to move on to over challenging classes eventually.

How to join an NP Gentle “ish”?

Attend an Introduction Workshop or Beginner Friendly classes first

   Unless you have done a lot of Pilates before you will need a introduction of some kind. Pilates and even different Pilates brands have unique exercise terminology and there are important exercise principles you should know. Also, we want you to get the most out of our classes and help you exercise more effectively.

After, your Introduction decide on your location and payment options

We run our NP Gentle-ish classes Online, in Northampton and in Rushden. And we have a few different payment options to suit different lifestyles.
