If you have suffered with any of these conditions you know just how painful they are and how long they take to recover from.

From early years now, we use keyboards, phones and tablets many hours a day. Do that for year upon year without addressing any imbalances that arise from holding your joints in such positions will cause problems that are hard to resolve.

Not all shoulder problem come from poor position though, sometimes there is trauma from a fall or an accident.

We will discuss the most common complaints such as Frozen Shoulder, inflammation at the shoulder and elbow joints, rotator cuff injuries and if we have time perhaps carpal tunnel.

We will learn about the latest treatment protocols from an expert in this field and a great opportunity to ask questions too.

I’m getting pain from spending too much time at the keyboard - But I can't give up my job!

What do you do?

Alistair Jepson will be our expert this time round. They are going to help you understand your shoulder issues, what the likely causes are, what the best treatment path is.

We hope to follow up this session later with an upper limb specialist physio who works closely with Mr. Jepson. They can provide more practical advice with exercises you can perform at home.  So between the two sessions you'll have a golden opportunity to put shoulder and elbow issues behind you.

Alistair Jepson

Alistair qualified from the University of Birmingham in 1994. His subsequent postgraduate surgical training was in London, including Guy’s & St. Thomas’s. He started his current position as consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Northampton General Hospital in November 2005
