Using the Waitlist and Nightly Blackout

WHAT IS THE WAITLIST?

If a class is fully booked, you can add yourself to the waiting list for that class. It’s a good idea because spaces often come up.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

If a space comes up more than 24 hours before the start time of the class, the first person on the waitlist will automatically be added to the class and will get notification that they are registered.

If a space comes up with less than 24 hours to go, the first person on the list will get an email and a text message (if they have signed up for text messages) to notify them they can register for that class.

They have 1 hour to accept or decline the place.

If they decline the space, it will move to the next person on the list.

If they ignore it, it will wait until the hour has passed then move to the next person on the list.

PLEASE DON’T IGNORE NOTIFICATIONS IF YOU NO LONGER NEED THE SPACE…some of you live quite far away and need as much notication as possible if they are to be able to get to class.

NIGHTLY BLACKOUT PERIOD

If anyone removes themselves from a class between midnight and 6am, nothing will happen to the waitlist.

Why? because getting a notification at 2.33am in the morning that there is a space available in the 10am class when you are asleep is not really that helpful. If you don’t respond, then at 3.33am it will move to the next person on the list, so you miss your chance of taking the space.

What WILL happen is at 6am, it will unregister the person who has left, trigger a message to the first person on the list that a space is available and they will have until 7am to accept or decline.

CANCELLATION PERIOD AND NIGHTLY BLACKOUT PERIOD

If you need to cancel your space in a morning mat or online mat class, you need to factor in the 6 hour blackout period. So if you want to leave a 9.30am class on a Monday morning (or any morning!), you will need to cancel by 7.30pm the night before. So 8 hours plus the 6 hour nightly blackout. We appreciate this is not easy to work out but we don’t currently have any choice in this if we want to have the waitlist working sensibly.

Reformer classes have a 24 hour cancellation period.
